We were briefed to launch a new insurance company The Unlimited, who's differentiator and purpose is to free clients from the complicated processes of their competitors. By offering easy-to-use products with fuss-free claiming, they allow their clients to free themselves to pursue what's important in their lives. Staying true to the concept of being able to do whatever one wants, we decided to give 21 filmmakers the same freedom. Each of the 21 films featured stories of people who have 'UNlimited' their lives in some way, entirely made by themselves with little interference. We offered production capabilities where necessary and linked the film with title look and feel, soundtrack and logo devices. We then launched with a 2 minute film made up of sections of each. Viewers were encouraged to explore all the 'UN' films at unlimityourlife.co.za and continue the conversation on social media. A selection of the films are below.

UNMUTE AND DAMN THE CONSEQUENCE: The story of Cape Town drag artist and LGBTQ activist Belinda Qa-qamba Ku-fassie who speaks to how she overcame prejudice and unlimited herself from societal norms and expectations of her.

UNDO YOUR PAST: Dehan van der Walt tells the story of losing his twin brother in a car accident. He survived but his arm was amputated. He tells the story of grief, overcoming his disability and how he was able to not let it limit his dream of making music.

UNBULLIED BY THE LIKES OF YOU: Digital and performance artists Natalie Paneng uses her exciting mixed media approach to tell us how she used the reasons she was bullied all her life as her power and inspiration.

UNSHACKLE YOURSELF FROM WHAT YOU KNOW: Luyanda Hlatshwayo is a self-employed recycler in Johannesburg. Due to the lack of infrastructure, there is a need for responsible disposal and transport of recycled materials which can be turned it into an income. Many city-dwellers have no idea of the value these people offer and in this touching film, a young director gave us a glimpse into a day in the life of these silent heroes, making us reevaluate and rethink our judgements.

UNLIKE AND IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE, UNHATE: 3D artist Oliver Hunter AKA Scumboy tells us their story of how a lack of feeling accepted as a teenager, led them to find freedom in the digital worlds they create: of using the feeling of restriction be the inspiration for your unlimited imagination.

UNCHAIN YOURSELF FROM THE STATUS QUO: African avant-garde fashion label Siybaba Atelier takes us into their world of a daring and unapologetic aesthetic that challenges conversations around gender, fashion and expression in conservative South Africa.
