Chicken Licken, South Africa's iconic fast food chain launched a new burger. The Chick'n Boerie Burger - a chicken burger that tastes like boerewors (a very popular South African sausage, often barbecued). A chicken burger that is uniquely South African at heart. A South African disguised as something else.
We brought this insight to life by introducing Bjorgvin to South Africans - an Icelandic boy who begins to act very strangely, displaying very South African traits which baffle his family, and entertained our audience. In a documentary style, he displayed stereotypical Afrikaans behaviour. He spoke the language, went barefoot in the winter, played rugby instead of soccer and braaied (barbecued) sausages in the snow. Finally, a concerned South African catches wind of his behaviour and goes on a quest to take him a taste of home and solve the mystery for his concerned family.
